Understanding girls on the autism spectrum 25.05.21

It is widely accepted that girls are often “missed” in terms of diagnosis of autism and may be facing additional challenges. While every girl with autism is unique, many share certain experiences and may appear to be more aware of the need to socialise, whilst masking underlying issues in order to be socially accepted by their peers.
This course will cover:
· A deeper understanding of girls with autism
· How parents can support daughters
· How teachers can support girls in their class
· Strategies to support girls in school
The viewpoints and experiences of females with autism will be shared in this course to provide a unique perspective on the challenges faced by girls on a daily basis.
