Positive behaviour support 10.11
This course will outline what the positive behaviour support model looks like in an everyday classroom, how to implement it and how it differs from a behaviour management/control model.
During the course, delegates will:
- Discuss the function of behaviour as a form of communication
- Familiarise themselves with the four main categories of behaviour
- Formalise strategies in order to support behaviour in a positive way
- Discuss how these strategies can support their current environment
There will also be the opportunity for delegates to take part in writing individual behaviour plans that focus on the proactive approach.
Target audience: Teachers and TA’s working with children displaying challenging behaviour. SENDCO’s looking to adopt
positive behaviour strategies across the whole school.
