Developing Coaching programme

This programme I designed for those who wish to become coaches within their school community. Delegates do not have to be experienced members of staff but this course will help you to become a skilled and confident coach.


By the end of the course, delegates will:

  • be confident in providing feedback from lesson observations to colleagues

  • have the tools to provide evidence from lesson observation to spark professional dialogue

  • develop the skills of live coaching to bring about immediate change, be introduced to, and have the chance to practise, the skills of solutions focused coaching

Learning Behaviours - using science to get the best outcomes for students (delivered by Innerdrive)

 An exciting 3 day programme using science to ensure that our teaching has the maximum impact on pupils’ learning. During the programme teachers will be able to develop their understanding of metacognition, memory and resilience in order to embed evidence based practices in their teaching.

 

InnerDrive is a mental skills training company. Their work covers traditional areas of performance and sports psychology through workshops, blogs and practical resources. They began by working with elite sport clients, such as premiership footballers and GB athletes. They now also work in education with over 120 schools in England. Last year they worked with over 25,000 students, teachers and parents. 

 

Prive allows two participants from a school to attend (dates to be confirmed)

Aspiring Middle Leaders programme: SECONDARY

This programme focuses on developing the skills required for middle leadership. Delegates will explore a range of middle leadership roles and some of the key elements of working at this level. Delegates will also spend time thinking about how to get the right experience to support applications.

The programme will cover topics such as: What do middle leaders do and what are the challenges?; the application process and gaining the right experience; teaching standards, challenging conversations and Ofsted; Department data and improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils; self-evaluation and action planning.

Within the programme, delegates are able to access bespoke coaching to support their progress at a cost of £40 per session
