A comprehensive day of training intended for: NQTs, TAs, those new to teaching phonics or who need a “refresh” and student teachers

The day will address:

Phonics development of confident and engaged readers and writers:

· The place of phonics teaching across FS, KS1 and into KS2.

· Expectations across the EYFS curriculum and the National Curriculum.

Phonics subject knowledge:

· Technical vocabulary.

· The alphabetic code.

· The skills of blending and segmenting.

· Enunciation of phonemes.

· Phonological awareness.

Progression through a systematic, synthetic phonics programme

Two-day introduction to TEACCH 27.11.19

This course is aimed at professionals working with primary aged children and those with complex needs.

Treatment and Education for Autistic and Communication impaired Children (TEACCH) is generally acknowledged to be the most widely used set of principles and practices for living and working with people with ASD.

Alison Reevey is a TEACCH Certified Advanced Consultant. She is an experienced trainer and has presented at the International INSET and TEACCH UK conferences. 

Alison has worked with Division TEACCH at the University of North Carolina over a number of years as a member of the summer training teams.

This training is appropriate for professionals working in special schools and with younger or less able children in mainstream settings.
